Colne 1-0 Droylsden

A goal almost from second half kick off from Connor Hughes was the difference between these two sides as the Bloods despite having the better possession failed to capitalise and fell to a second successive away defeat.

The first half saw few chances, Hakon Burton pulling off a fine save from Domaine Rouse after the Bloods captain had run from his own half way line was the best chance of the half.

At the other end Harris saw his shot go just wide of the far post, while Jamie Frost had two efforts easily saved in the Colne goal.

Dave Pace’s team though switched off as the second half commenced to let Hughes in, and while having much of the possession created little.

Jack Kay should have equalised on seventy one minutes, the striker having a free header at the back post which sailed over the bar.

Colne though finished the stronger, Thompson pulling off a fantastic save to deny Lynch and with the game going into injury time Harris saw his effort come back off the post
