A Rhys Clooney goal four minutes from time saw the Bloods claim a point in a scrappy game at the Butchers Arms.
Clooney latched onto the ball after Cables keeper Taylor has saved from a deflected strike off his own defender.
Droylsden has fallen behind after a lively start from the visitors, failing to clear their lines and giving Awe a free header in the area after just nine minutes.
Awe could have made it two minutes later on the break, Phil Clarke recovering to block the strikers shot on the edge of the area.
Cables continued to dominate Hassall forcing Thompson into a good save letting fly from just outside the area and Thompson was again called in to action with the reflex save after a wicked ricochet off the Bloods wall from Hamilton free kick.
The Bloods shuffled the pack early in the second half, all three substitutes on with half an hour left on the clock and while the visitors appeared to sit back on their lead, their high line stifled Droylsden’s efforts on goal.
A quick break from Liam Caddick set up Clooney who took the ball too wide to trouble the keeper. At the other end Thompson was again called into action this time to stop along range effort from Hassall.
Chances though were few and far betwen in the second half for either side until Clooney’s effort grabbed the point.
