Another disappointing afternoon for the Bloods saw them succumb to promotion chasing Ramsbottom with Nic Evangelinos scoring all four goals for the Rams.
The Bloods were behind after just six minutes when Rainford was brought down in the area by Thompson after a poor back pass.
The referee had no choice but to point to the spot and Evangelinos made no mistake for the spot.
Four minutes later the home team doubled their lead, Evangelinos heading home at s second attempt from Moran’s cross.
The Bloods had the ball in the net after Ashton fumbled Rigby’s free kick but the referee ruled that the keeper had been fouled.
Minutes later Evangelinos claimed his third,his free kick from 25 yards finding the top corner and on twenty minutes it could have been four after Rainford beat the offside trap, his effort just clipping the post with Thompson beaten.
The Bloods chances were few and far between, Gonzales beat Jacobs down the left, his cross finding Rouse but he couldn’t keep his effort down.
Six minutes into the second half saw a triple substitution, Barber, Bianga and Tserpes coming on but Ramsbottom continued to attack.
Ruben Jerome saw his effort cleared off the line while Thompson saved from Rams substitute Ggoden.
Droylsden had a chance to get back into the game on seventy minutes, Gonzales intercepting a back pass but the striker took too long on the ball and the keeper easily collected.
A second penalty saw Ramsbottom get their fourth, Kieran Lugsden brought down as he tried to round Thompson and Evangelinos making no mistake from the spot.
