Tribute to Kevin Randall

Those of you who known our own Nigel Randall will, I am sure wish to pass on their condolences after the death of his brother Kevin at the age of 73 yesterday.

Kevin has been involved in the world of football for more than fifty years and we understand began his career at Droylsden after two trials at Manchester United had come to nothing back in the early 1960’s before joining Bury and then Chesterfield where he was to make over 250 appearances.

His playing career stretched to 1980, playing for Notts County, Mansfield and York City before he moved into management, most famously being John Duncan’s assistant when the club reached the semi final of the FA Cup in 1997.

His later year have been spent scouting, most notably for clubs managed by his old friend Neil Warnock.
