Droylsden 2-2 Kendal

Two goals from Emil Jasskelainen secured the visitors a draw at the Butchers Arms despite The Bloods  having the majority of the play.

Kendal took the lead controversially from the penalty spot after 11 minutes after the referee adjudged Phil Clarke to have handled the ball from close range.

The Bloods had their chances to equalise, Rouse’s header at the back post from a Rigby corner was deflected behind for a corner while Clooney’s effort  from Rouse’s cross into the area was toe poked just wide of the far post.Just before half time, the busy Clooney broke into the Kendal box but again his attempt went just wide

Droylsden levelled just after the break, Wilkins heading home after a cross from the byline from Lattie but Kendal regained the lead four minutes later, Jasskelainen breaking clear from the half way line after a Phil Clarke clearance rebounded off Colin Murray, the forward running half the length of the pitch before finishing well into the bottom right corner of the goal.

Substitute Jamie Frost levelled for the home team with half an hour left,Rigby’s cross finding him just outside the six yard box and finding a way through the Kendal defence to stab the ball home.

Droylsden brought on Walshe and Burns, rejigging the forward line but despite controlling the game they could not break through the visitors defence

The Bloods best chance falling to skipper Rouse with seven minutes left on the clock but Bacon saved brilliantly as the shot headed for the top corner and Kendal held on for a well fought point
